For a commercial office lobby in Düsseldorf, ShimmerChains supplied a bespoke metal Chain Curtain installation designed to divide the entrance area from the lifts while complementing the building’s distinctive 70s-inspired interior.
The client wanted a solution that could create separation without closing off the space. Using our Curve 2420 chain type in Bronze Polished aluminium chains, the curtain introduces warmth, movement and texture while maintaining a sense of openness across the lobby.
The polished bronze finish was chosen to blend naturally with the interior palette, echoing the rich metallic tones often found in 1970s design. Rather than acting as a flat partition, the chain curtain creates a soft architectural screen - defining the lift area while allowing light, visibility and airflow to pass through. Lightweight, durable and low-maintenance, the installation adds a refined decorative layer to the lobby, balancing practical space division with a strong design presence.
