A private client approached Shimmerchains to create a unique decorative feature for their living room, with the goal being to add visual interest while maintaining an open, modern feel.
We installed a custom Shimmerchain display using our 23mm CURVE chain links and Straight installation bars. The display features a full-colour portrait created by hand-placing individual links in a variety of our anodised finishes. The Curve chain’s interlocking shape allowed for precise colour transitions and smooth gradients, ideal for reproducing detailed imagery.
This installation functions as a wall-mounted art piece, adding texture and dimension to the space while still allowing light and airflow. The use of aluminium chain keeps the piece lightweight, low-maintenance, and durable.
